An Age of Progress?

We are guinea pigs in terms of marketing. Companies read us like a book. Do we notice this? Just consider how much time commercials take up on television nowadays or how you have to sit through an ad before you can watch a little clip on youtube. It’s ridiculous, yet we continue to be consumers. Maybe we don’t see it or maybe we’re too addicted to technology to care. That’s what I think, for what it’s worth. It’s unsettling to realize that we now have some form of media to stimulate our senses every second of every day. You’ve got to break away from this. Each one of us has to break away. I say do something each day that turns away from this steady progression of media, and ironically, I think you’ll find your days to be much more “progressive.”
